Satan's original sin was Pride. Wanting to be like God, Look at ISAIAH 14:13-14 again.

His exalting himself was a direct challenge to the authority of God. Then said ( He ) to the Devil in ISAIAH 14:15, 'AIN'T NO WAY.' (my words in the reading. Read the verses.)

Satan was directly challenging the authority of God, then it is no wonder he is called the opposer.

Satan opposes God's Word, His Work, His People, His glory, His Will, His Authority. Satan tempted Jesus in the wilderness as recorded in MATTHEW 4:1-11.

Satan was trying to stop the plan of Redemption. He will take away the Word of God from the heart of those hearer's of the Word so they will not be saved.

MATTHEW 13:19, and in verses 3-8, Satan will sow seeds of falsehood. MATTHEW 13:24-30.

It was Satan who put in the heart of Judas Iscariot the thought of betrayal. JOHN 13:2.

Satan blinds the minds of unbelievers. 2 CORINTHIANS 4:4

He sows the seed of hatred, error, dishonesty, and sin. In Revelation 12:4, we are informed that he took one third of the angels with him.

WHAT A MASTER MIND MANIPULATOR. Do you or I think we are a match for the Devil (Satan)?

NO! WE ARE NOT!! He will whip the whole shooting match of us, here today. All at the same time.

BUT, THANKS BE UNTO GOD WHICH GIVETH US THE VICTORY, THROUGH THE LORD JESUS CHRIST.

IMITATION:

He may be more successful at imitation than in out right opposition. Satan has always imitated God, his desire to be like God led to his fall.

When Moses demonstrated the power of God, to all Pharaoh's household, with miracles, Satan had his magicians to imitate those miracles.

When God raise up the Old Testament Prophets, Satan countered with his false prophets. Satan specializes in using falsehood in religion and false religion.

Satan is not a little red man with a cape, horns, pitch fork and pointed tail, as we have pictured him. He is not ugly for the scriptures gives us a different picture. 2 CORINTHIANS 11:14-15 tells us that he is an angel of light.

Satan is a master at making himself and his demons attractive. Satan's most effective gimmicks, are his counterfeits.

His counterfeit religion
His counterfeit preachers
His counterfeit churches
His counterfeit righteousness
His counterfeit gospel

GALATIONS 1:6 says, I marvel that you are so soon removed from him that called you into the

grace of Christ to another gospel.

In VERSE 8, Paul wrote, If we, or an angel preach any other gospel, let him be accursed.

Satan can create a counterfeit feeling or experience. The things we see, touch, the things that we know with the senses.

However, Satan's ultimate imitation will be the Anti-Christ during the tribulation. 2 THESSALONIANS 2:3-4. He will be Satan's crowning imitation.

How can a Child of God avoid being tricked by the devil's devices? They MUST KNOW THE WORD OF GOD. Satan cannot deceive a believer unless he or she is willing to be deceived.

2 THESSALONIANS 2:10-11. Those that are, are rejecting the love of God in Christ Jesus. How many are rejecting the truth.

Sinners reject that love, for they know no better. They need to be saved.

ACCUSATION:
